Church’s Chicken, the American fast-food chain, will now accept the Dash cryptocurrency as payment across all 10 outlets in Venezuela. The fast-food chain made an official announcement regarding the same through a Facebook post on December 12th.
Also, as part of the service demonstration, Dash uploaded a video of transactions at one of the Church’s Chicken outlet. Furthermore, As Dash News reports, the payment integration happened through the joint efforts of Dash Venezuela and the Dash Core team’s business development department.
Church’s Chicken Venezuela’s General Manager, Orlando Gustavo Navas, expressed optimism on partnering with Dash. He also said that the Dash Developer team was very much instrumental in adapting to their payment systems.
Furthermore, the Dash team has also helped them to sail through all the legal and internal processes for this integration. Gustavo Navas said,
“This integration was the result of our trust in Dash and its role as a growth agent in this new financial world – a system which can be successful in any market across any number of different industries.”
Global Head of Business Development for the Dash Core team, Bradley Zastrow, showered praises on the Dash Venezuela team. Zastrow also acknowledged Dash Venezuela team for steering the company through this important milestone.
“We’re proud to be the exclusive cryptocurrency payment for Church’s Chicken in Venezuela. It’s further evidence that Dash leads the way in digital payments. The Dash Venezuela team has done an incredible job fostering this emerging ecosystem on the ground, and it’s exciting to be integrating with a major national food chain at the franchise level, or the first time in Dash history,” said Zastrow.
With the latest Dash Payment Integration, Church claims to be the first food-chain giant to accept crypto payments. Earlier this week, CBW reported that KFC has integrated Dash payment across all of its outlets in Venezuela. However, later KFC confirmed that this news is false.
CEO of KFC Venezuela, Antonio Sampayo, said that processing payments using the Dash crypto tokens “is not a fact, nor has the publication of any news about it been authorized.” The Dash Merchant Venezuela also released a statement with a public apology.
