Edge is a California-based startup. Interestingly, the company has announced the release of its updated Edge Wallet. This measure is important to Edge’s quest to expand the services it offers cryptocurrency wallet users. So, users can now buy, sell, and trade Edge-supported currencies. However, that’s not all. According to Edge, the new version of its wallet enhances user privacy. For those who may not know, the latest Edge Wallet is Version 1.4.0.
Indeed, Edge is poised to transform the services that it offers its teeming users. As a result, there is ShapeShift for more currency support. ShapeShift exposes uses to higher trade limits and rewards.
To make the most of the cryptocurrency market, Edge also incorporated a decentralized price comparison service. Indeed, the wallet has a lot in store for all. For the Stellar community, your interests are covered with the latest version of Edge Wallet as you can now have access to your Stellar Lumens (XLM). By this latest addition, the wallet now supports eight of the top 10 virtual currencies by MCAP.
Edge Wallet leaves the users with the power to pick out nodes that prioritize desired features, such as speed, privacy, proximity, and many more. If you think that’s all Edge Wallet has to offer, you have another thing coming.
Without a doubt, the idea behind the California-based startup’s decision to integrate Changelly is commendable given the importance of the exchange in the cryptocurrency industry. The support for Changelly and other exchanges will now give users the chance to experience price hunting within the wallet environment. The simple working model is that when users pick a particular price pair, Edge will search and pick out the best price among all supported exchanges.
Additionally, Edge Wallet users can now access EOS, XLM, and ZCoin. Others include BTC, BCH, DASH, LTC and Qtum. Also, the latest update has new language options: Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, and Russian. Having these language options means that Edge has effectively shattered a possible language barrier, thus making its wallet a global brand.
Originally founded in 2014 as Airtbitz, Edge is a security-focused, multi-asset wallet and blockchain platform. As for the wallet, the Edge Wallet is a user-controlled, open-source, and non-custodial wallet. Hence, with its modular architecture, Edge Wallet can secure and transact with other blockchains and tokens. In October 2017, Airbitz rebranded to Edge, and launched the Edge Wallet some four months later.
