The city of Barcelona will play host to the second major annual Crypto Economy World and Blockchain Solutions World. According to the organizers, the hackathon will take place from 16th through 18th of October, 2018. Also, De(v) Central and BlockchaINVEST will be features at the event. So, there will be four events taking place in two days. Other programs will also take place during the hackathon. These are the Artificial Intelligence & Cognitive Systems Forum and IoT Solutions World Congress. About 14,000 attendees will be at the event and hundreds of companies will also participate in the event. Some of the companies include Google, Intel, and Microsoft.
This year’s event will focus on real-world cases and solutions using blockchain technology. Also, different vertical sectors will be in focus. According to the event organizers, the sectors that the event will focus on include manufacturing and supply chain, music and entertainment, real estate, healthcare, connected transport and logistics, government, and blockchain for good.
Regarding Crypto Economy World, the 2018 program will follow 26 similar global events that will happen across London, San Francisco, Amsterdam, Sydney, Singapore, Mumbai, Seoul, Malta, and New York. So, in each of the aforementioned cities, blockchain companies and projects will engage with institutional investors, decision makers, real investors, and venture capitalists. It will also focus on the crypto economy and bring the role of ICOs into the spotlight. Not to mention that the program will x-ray some token inspired ventures. Most importantly, this program will attract over 1,000 investors in Barcelona this October.
Another program that will take place in the hackathon is De(v) Central. Blockchainhou.se will host it as it launches in Barcelona this year. Blockchain protocol organizations will use 45 minutes to explain in detail how to develop decentralized applications (DApps). Already, some speakers have confirmed that they would be at the event. These industry top-tier speakers that will participate in the event are top executives from Verge, Open Ledger, Zilliqa, DoubleChain, Consensus/Ethereum, and a host of others.
In addition, BlockchaINVEST will be yet another program on the menu for that day. Indeed, it will feature some of the most promising cryptocurrency projects and global blockchain firms that are looking to raise funds. They will have the opportunity to meet potential investors and fund managers in an intimate and interactive setting. BlockchaINVEST seminar sessions will hold on the exhibition floor, where blockchain companies will showcase blockchain-based projects that can potentially solve real-world problems as well as lead to increased efficiencies in industries.
