Localbitcoincash.org revamped their website’s user interface with new features, including a market place, and a cryptocurrency-to-cryptocurrency exchange. Currently the website also provides escrow services allowing Bitcoin Cash (BCH) buying and selling from person to person. The website, launched last November, offers similar services to a similarly named portal for Bitcoin (BTC).
The cryptocurrency-to-cryptocurrency exchange on localbitcoincash.org is comparable to the service offered by Changelly or Shapeshift, except that no fees are charged. On these services, users are able to deposit and exchange their BCH for other digital currencies including Steem (STEEM), SmartCash (SMART), Ethereum (ETH), Dash (DASH), and Bitcoin. It is also possible to send BCH by email.
Peer-to-peer marketplace
Late last month, the localbitcoincash.org website revealed users could sell goods in a peer-to-peer manner for BCH. The goods traded on the website can be both digital or physical. One of the unique marketplace features is that users do not incur commission charges. Also, users and sellers have no restrictions. They are, thus, allowed to message sellers directly if need be.
The marketplace of localbitcoincash.org attracts users worldwide, though there is a cap placed on sellers from certain countries. According to localbitcoincash.org, the objective of the marketplace is to give users an economic opportunity. This comes especially for those citizens of corrupt countries and failed states who have had to endure suffering. The team behind the website hopes that these economic opportunities will assist in lifting users out of poverty.
Digital wallets
This comes in the wake of one of the leading digital wallets in the Philippines, Coins.ph, announcing they will soon begin offering BCH support. The addition of support is also in line with the digital wallet’s strategy of offering low cost blockchain payments. Previously, Coins.ph only supported Ethereum. Regarding Ethereum, the digital wallet is considering offering a financial service that will be based on smart contracts.
Another firm that recently added BCH to its virtual currency exchange app is international financial consultancy, Devere Group. They currently boast more than 80,000 clients residing in over 100 countries. The Devere Group already supports other digital currencies such as Stellar Lumens (XLM), Monero (XMR), Ripple (XRP), Litecoin (LTC), Dash, Ethereum and Bitcoin.
