Skrill, the cross-border payment solution, added some cryptocurrencies to its list of payment options available to its customers scattered around the world. The platform processes payments for users who send and receive money around the world. Users of the platform can now buy, sell, send, and receive cryptocurrencies that have been adopted by the firm.
The cryptocurrencies include Litecoin (LTC), Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), and Ethereum (ETH). The website states that users can now explore over 100 alternative payment methods and 40 fiat currencies supported by Skrill to perform crypto-related transactions from over 30 countries in the world. The platform specifically mentioned that customers in the US and Russia can also enjoy such services.
In a blog post, Lorenzo Pellegrino, CEO of Skrill, noted that the world of virtual currency is exciting and dynamic. He thinks this step will show the customers that they are keying into it. He noted that digital wallet service is already available. The company made it clear that in the coming months they would extend their cryptocurrency service reach to more markets and enhance the functionality of their wallet.
Litecoin (LTC) had earlier launched a PayWithLitecoin Campaign which targets a wide range of Fintech companies around the world. Today, the campaign is paying off as more and more companies are adopting LTC as the first or probably second cryptocurrency payment option. While some companies are taking advantage of the token, others are leveraging the strong, robust network to enhance their service delivery to customers around the world. These adoptions could also be a result of the effort the CEO of Litecoin (LTC), Charlie Lee, is making to see the cryptocurrency back to its lost glory.
Apart from Skrill, eGifter also announced the adoption of LTC as one of its leading payment options. As one of the most popular online card gift companies, the adoption will be a win-win situation. Adopting LTC will make it more liquid while its aim of upping its sales may also be achieved.
Litecoin (LTC) is the seventh most capitalized cryptocurrency in the world with a market cap of $4.4 billion. At the time of writing, LTC is trading at $76.33. With CEO Lee committed tomaking a difference with the cryptocurrency, the coming days will be interesting.
