In June 2018, the Senegalese president gifted Akon 2,000 acres of land. Ever since Akon received the gift, there have been rumors that he would build a cryptocurrency city. AKoin is nevertheless more than that as it is about creating a fertile environment for investment and entrepreneurship in Africa.
